Hama 00020099 Network Cable Orange 50 m Cat7

The Hama networking cable 00020099 Cat7 50m Orange is a 50-metre Category 7 patch cable designed for wired network installations that require high bandwidth and reduced interference. Constructed to support 10GBase-T applications, the cable provides a stable physical connection for data transmission in residential and business environments. The bright orange jacket improves visibility in cable runs and helps with identification during installation and maintenance.

Advantages

This Cat7 cable supports higher frequencies than lower category cables, enabling improved shielding and reduced crosstalk for reliable 10 Gbps performance over shorter distances. The 50 m length covers longer runs without the need for intermediate repeaters in typical home and office layouts. The orange outer sheath makes it easy to trace and manage within bundled cabling systems, simplifying organization and fault finding.

Suitable for

• 10GBase-T local area network links in homes and small offices
• Connecting switches, routers and networked appliances over a 50 m run
• Structured cabling where color-coding aids identification and maintenance
• Applications requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and improved signal integrity

Key specifications

• Cabling category: Cat7
• Standard supported: 10GBase-T
• Length: 50 m
• Outer colour: Orange
• Intended use: Fixed network cabling for data transmission

How to use

Route the cable from device to device, avoiding sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Terminate both ends with appropriate connectors or use wall plates and keystone jacks compatible with Cat7 cabling following local installation standards. Ensure connectors and terminations are properly shielded if the installation relies on the cable's shielding properties. Test the installed run with a cable tester to verify continuity, pair integrity and performance up to the intended 10GBase-T standard.

Recommendations

Place the cable away from high-voltage power lines and large transformers to minimize interference; maintain a bend radius at least four times the cable diameter and avoid mechanical compression to preserve performance.
