Hama 00030381 Extension Cable 1.4m

The Hama 00030381 power extension cable is a 1.4 m mains extension designed for household and office use. It supports an AC input voltage of 230 V and a frequency of 50 Hz. Finished in white, the cable provides a discreet extension of power reach for appliances and equipment where the fixed mains outlet is not conveniently located.

Advantages

This 1.4 m Hama extension cable offers a straightforward way to extend power from a 230 V, 50 Hz mains supply without altering existing wiring. The white color integrates with common interior schemes, and the moderate length reduces excess cable clutter while providing enough reach for most nearby appliances. The product is designed for standard mains devices, enabling reliable power delivery for everyday use.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Extending power for small household appliances (lamps, chargers, radios)
• Providing a nearby mains connection for office equipment (printers, monitors)
• Temporary power extension in living rooms, bedrooms, or workspaces
• Replacing or supplementing an existing short power cable where extra reach is needed

When it may not be suitable

This extension cable is intended for standard 230 V, 50 Hz mains applications and for devices that do not exceed the cable's implied usage limits. It is not intended for heavy-duty or high-current industrial equipment, outdoor exposed installations, or permanent concealed wiring. Avoid using it where specific grounding, surge protection, or higher current capacity is required.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1.4 m
• Rated voltage: 230 V AC
• Rated frequency: 50 Hz
• Colour: White
• Intended use: Indoor mains extension for household and office devices

How to use

Plug the extension cable securely into a compatible 230 V wall outlet and connect the device's plug into the cable's socket. Ensure the connections are tight and the cable lies flat to avoid trip hazards. Do not overload the cable by connecting devices whose combined current draw exceeds the safe operating capacity for typical mains extension cables. Inspect the cable and connectors for damage before each use and unplug when not in use for extended periods.

What to consider before purchase

• Required length — 1.4 m may be insufficient for long runs
• Compatibility with your device plugs and local mains standard (230 V, 50 Hz)
• Indoor use only — not rated for outdoor or exposed installations
• Not a substitute for surge protection or specialized grounded cables when required

Recommendations

Use the Hama 00030381 extension for everyday indoor devices with normal current draw, place it so that it does not cross walkways, and avoid stacking heavy objects on the cable or connectors to maintain reliable and safe operation.
