Handset Snom M56 EU Wireless DECT handset — Snom M56, DECT…

The Snom M56 EU is a wireless DECT handset designed for SIP/VoIP environments and supplied as the EU variant. It enables cordless voice communication over DECT for office and home use and functions as an accessory to compatible Snom base stations or DECT systems. The handset supports standard SIP-based calling and integrates with business telephony setups to provide mobile voice access while preserving call features and directory synchronization provided by the base system.

Advantages

The Snom M56 offers cordless mobility with DECT reliability, delivering clear voice transmission and stable connections within the DECT coverage area. Its SIP compatibility allows straightforward integration into existing VoIP infrastructures and enables familiar telephony features through the connected base station. The EU variant ensures compliance with regional DECT channel settings and power regulations for consistent operation in European markets.

Suitable for

• Office staff who require mobility while staying connected to the corporate SIP phone system
• Small business environments with a Snom DECT base station or compatible SIP/DECT infrastructure
• Home offices where cordless SIP calling and easy handset deployment are needed
• Environments that need reliable indoor coverage for voice calls without wired handsets

Key specifications

• DECT wireless connectivity for cordless voice communication
• SIP/VoIP compatibility for integration with VoIP systems and PBX platforms
• EU regional variant with DECT channel and power settings suited for European use
• Battery-powered handset for portable use within DECT range

How to use

Charge the handset according to the supplied instructions and register it to a compatible Snom base station or DECT system that supports SIP endpoints. Use the handset to make and receive SIP calls through the paired base station; call features (such as hold, transfer, and directory access) are controlled by the connected system. Keep the handset within the coverage area of the base station for uninterrupted voice communication and follow local regulatory guidelines for DECT device placement and power usage.

Recommendations

Place the base station centrally in the coverage area to maximize reception and avoid obstructions that may reduce DECT range. Use official or recommended chargers and batteries to ensure safe charging behavior. For multi-handset setups, consult the base station documentation for registration limits and feature configuration to achieve consistent behavior across all handsets.
