helos 205259 Ethernet patch cable RJ-45 plug to plug 5 m

helos 205259 is a 5 m Ethernet patch cable with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends, designed to create a reliable wired link between network devices. It connects switches, routers, patch panels and endpoints using a standard Ethernet interface, providing a fixed 5 metre length suitable for desk-to-wall or rack-to-rack connections in home, office and data-centre environments.

Advantages

The cable provides a consistent physical connection with low latency and predictable performance compared with wireless links. Built with standard RJ-45 terminations, it is compatible with a wide range of networking equipment and supports common Ethernet speeds when used within the capabilities of the connected devices and infrastructure. The fixed 5 m length reduces excess cable slack and simplifies cable management in structured installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers to wall ports or switches
• Linking switches and routers within a network rack
• Patch panel to switch connections in small server rooms
• Fixed point-to-point connections in home networks

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 male to RJ-45 male
• Cable category: Ethernet patch cable (category not explicitly specified by manufacturer)
• Transmission medium: copper twisted pair conductors
• Intended use: horizontal and patch cabling for network devices

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 plug fully into the corresponding Ethernet port on the devices you wish to connect until a click confirms engagement. Ensure the cable is routed to avoid sharp bends, pinch points or sources of electromagnetic interference. For patch panel or rack installations, secure excess length with appropriate cable ties or management accessories to maintain airflow and prevent strain on connector ends.

Recommendations

Verify the supported Ethernet speed of your network devices to ensure the cable meets your performance needs. For permanent installations, test the connection after installation and label both ends if used in structured cabling to simplify future maintenance.
