Helos Cat 6a S/FTP (PIMF) Patch Cable 5 m, RJ-45, Black (118124)

The Networking Cable Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 5 m is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. With S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair) construction and RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this 5 meter black cable is suitable for wired connections between switches, routers, PCs, networked storage and other Ethernet devices. The Cat 6a rating supports higher bandwidth and improved noise immunity compared with lower category cables, making it appropriate for demanding network environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield and individually shielded pairs to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Cat 6a specification enables stable performance at up to 10 Gbps over shorter distances and improved headroom for Gigabit Ethernet deployments. Pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors provide plug-and-play installation without on-site termination work. The black outer jacket offers a neutral, unobtrusive appearance for office or home installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, servers and network switches
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming and online gaming
• Structured cabling within offices, workstations and home networks
• Areas with increased electrical interference where shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6a (Augmented Category 6)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Color: Black
• Intended use: Ethernet network cabling

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your network device and the other connector into the corresponding port of the switch, router or modem. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges, and keep it away from power cables where possible to minimize potential interference. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management accessories without compressing the jacket.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat 6a S/FTP cable for links up to 5 meters where full shielding is required, and pair it with compatible shielded RJ-45 ports or grounded patch panels. Avoid kinking the cable and maintain minimum bend radius as specified by standard cabling practices.
