Herlitz Chalk 8856502 — White Rectangular Chalk, 36 Pieces, Paper-Wrapped, Unsharpened

Herlitz Chalk 8856502 is a pack of 36 white square chalk sticks supplied paper-wrapped and unsharpened. The square profile provides a stable grip and consistent stroke width for writing and drawing on chalkboards and other suitable surfaces. The compact format and individual wrapping help protect each stick during storage and transport while keeping dust transfer between sticks to a minimum.

Advantages

The square shape improves handling and reduces rolling compared with round sticks, supporting accurate lettering and diagram work. White pigment delivers high contrast on dark boards and most non-porous blackboard surfaces. Individual paper wrapping preserves the chalk integrity and keeps fingers cleaner until the stick is used. Supplied in a set of 36, the pack supports repeated classroom or office use without frequent repurchasing.

Suitable for

• Classroom lessons and teacher demonstrations
• Office meeting rooms with chalkboards
• Home use for notes, lists and children’s drawing
• Workshops and studios for temporary markings on suitable non-porous surfaces

Key specifications

• Quantity: 36 sticks per pack
• Color: white
• Shape: square profile for stable grip
• Packaging: individual paper wrapping for each stick
• Condition: supplied unsharpened

How to use

Select a clean, dry chalkboard or other compatible non-porous surface before use. Remove the paper wrap from one stick when needed and hold the square chalk between fingers to write or draw with steady pressure. For finer lines or detail work, use the chalk edge; for broader strokes, use the flat face. After use, store remaining wrapped sticks in a dry place away from moisture to maintain integrity.

Recommendations

For reduced dust transfer to hands and clothing, keep unused sticks in their paper wrapping until required. Use a chalkboard eraser or damp cloth for regular cleaning of the board surface; allow the surface to dry fully before writing again. When making fine details, gently shave or file a corner of the unsharpened stick if necessary, taking care to avoid excessive breakage.
