Hikvision (1370)

A DVR (Digital Video Recorder) connects to analogue or HD-TVI/AHD cameras via coaxial cable — ideal for upgrading existing analogue installations. An NVR (Network Video Recorder) connects to IP cameras via a network cable or PoE switch and offers higher resolution, remote access and AI analytics. If you are building a new system, we recommend the NVR.

Yes. All Hikvision IP cameras support ONVIF Profile S/G and can be integrated into most third-party NVR and VMS platforms. However, Hikvision's proprietary AI features — such as deep-learning perimeter protection and facial recognition — work fully only with Hikvision NVRs or the HikCentral software.

Hikvision bi-spectrum cameras from the DS-2TD2637 series combine a 384×288 thermal sensor with an optical lens in a single housing. The thermal channel detects heat signatures in total darkness, smoke and light fog and triggers precise alarms — particularly valuable for perimeter protection of industrial facilities, substations and large commercial sites.
