HP CN459-60375 Duplex Unit

The HP CN459-60375 duplex unit is an accessory designed for the HP Pro X451 printer series that adds automatic double-sided printing capability. It integrates with the printer to flip pages mechanically during the print run, allowing users to produce two-sided documents without manual refeeding. The unit is intended to improve workflow efficiency and reduce paper consumption while maintaining print quality and reliability for office environments.

Advantages

The duplex unit enables automatic duplexing to reduce paper use and streamline tasks that require two-sided output. It is made to match the mechanical and electrical interfaces of the HP Pro X451 series, providing straightforward installation and consistent operation. By automating the page-turning process, the unit minimizes interruptions in multi-page jobs and supports sustained print volumes common in busy offices.

Suitable for

• Office environments requiring frequent two-sided reports, manuals and handouts
• Departments aiming to reduce paper consumption and printing costs
• Users who need uninterrupted batch printing of multi-page documents
• Workflows that demand consistent print output and minimal manual handling

Key specifications

• Function: automatic duplex (two-sided) printing module
• Compatibility: designed for use with HP Pro X451 series printers
• Installation: internal add-on unit that mounts to the printer's duplex interface
• Operation: mechanical paper flip mechanism controlled by the printer firmware
• Effect on output: produces two-sided pages without manual page refeeding

How to use

Install the duplex unit following the printer’s service or user manual instructions: power off the printer, access the rear or internal mounting area specified for the duplex assembly, secure the unit in place and reconnect any electrical connectors. After installation, power the printer on and verify duplex functionality through the printer control panel or driver settings by selecting two-sided (duplex) printing. Use the printer’s driver options to choose long-edge or short-edge binding according to document layout needs.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use paper within the printer’s recommended weight and size ranges and avoid damp or curled sheets. Regularly check for paper jams in the duplex path and follow the printer’s maintenance guidance to keep the feed and flip mechanisms clean. When installing or removing the duplex unit, handle connectors and mechanical parts gently to avoid damage.
