HP JC97-04651A paper feed roller for HP printers

Pickup Roller JC97-04651A is a replacement pickup roller designed for compatible HP printers. It ensures reliable paper feeding by engaging and transporting sheets from the paper tray into the printer mechanism. The component is intended for routine maintenance and parts replacement to reduce misfeeds and paper jams, helping to maintain consistent print workflow in office and home environments.

Advantages

The pickup roller provides consistent paper grip and smooth feed action, helping to lower the frequency of misfeeds and double-feeds. It restores proper pickup performance when the original roller shows wear, thus supporting longer intervals between service visits. Installation of the replacement roller helps maintain print quality and uptime by ensuring sheets are correctly aligned and fed into the printer mechanism.

Suitable for

• Routine maintenance of HP printers with compatible pickup roller design
• Repairing printers that experience misfeeds, double-feeds, or frequent paper jams
• Office and home print environments requiring reliable paper handling
• Technicians and service centers performing parts replacement

Key specifications

• Function: Paper pickup and feed roller for sheet transport
• Compatibility: Designed for use in compatible HP laser and multifunction printers with the corresponding roller geometry
• Material: Durable rubberized surface optimized for paper grip
• Form factor: Cylindrical roller with integrated shaft for direct replacement
• Durability: Manufactured for extended service life under normal office print volumes

How to use

Power off the printer and open the paper feed area according to the printer service or user manual. Remove the worn pickup roller by releasing the retaining clips or lifting it from its shaft, then position the replacement roller in the same orientation and secure it with the original clips or fasteners. Close the paper feed area, restore power, and run a test print or paper feed cycle to confirm that sheets are picked up and transported correctly. Follow any model-specific disassembly steps from the printer documentation to avoid damage.

Recommendations

Use original or recommended replacement parts matching the roller shape and dimensions for your HP printer model. Inspect paper trays and paper quality as poor or damp paper can affect pickup performance. Replace the roller when signs of wear—such as glazing, flat spots, or frequent misfeeds—become evident. If uncertain about compatibility or installation, consult the printer manual or a service technician.
