The Exertis Connect VGA Cable EXC 119740 20 m is a 20-metre video cable with VGA (D-Sub) connectors on both ends designed to connect computers, monitors, projectors and other VGA-compatible devices over long distances. The cable provides a straightforward analogue video link for setups that require extended reach while maintaining a stable image signal for presentations, classrooms, meeting rooms and AV installations.

Advantages

This VGA cable offers an extended 20 m length to connect devices across larger rooms or between equipment racks without needing multiple short cables or repeaters. The VGA (D-Sub) connectors on both ends ensure compatibility with a wide range of legacy and current displays and projectors. The cable's black jacket provides discreet installation and easy routing along walls or under carpeting. How to use

Connect one VGA (D-Sub) connector to the VGA output of the computer or video source and the other connector to the VGA input of the monitor or projector. Tighten the connector screws by hand to ensure a secure mechanical connection. Select the appropriate display input on the monitor or projector and configure the source device's display settings (resolution and refresh rate) to match the capabilities of the display. For long runs, avoid sharp bends and keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources to reduce interference.

Recommendations

For optimal image quality at 20 m, use resolutions and refresh rates supported by both the source and the display. If you experience signal degradation with very high resolutions, consider using a shorter cable, a signal amplifier, or a digital alternative where possible. Inspect connectors for damage before installation and secure connections to prevent intermittent signal loss.
