Icy Dock MB703M2P-B Interface Card

The Icy Dock MB703M2P-B is an interface card engineered for M.2 SSD integration in compact drive bay or adapter solutions. Constructed from durable black plastic and measuring 70 mm wide, 101 mm deep and 9.5 mm high, the card provides a space-efficient option for adding an M.2 SSD to compatible enclosures or carrier assemblies. The interface supports sustained data transfers up to 6 Gbit/s and complies with CE and REACH standards for material safety.

Advantages

This interface card combines a small footprint with reliable data throughput, enabling straightforward installation of M.2 SSDs where space is limited. The plastic housing keeps the weight low while providing sufficient mechanical protection for the module. Compliance with CE and REACH indicates conformity with applicable safety and chemical regulations, simplifying integration into regulated environments.

Key specifications

• Dimensions: 70 mm (width) × 101 mm (depth) × 9.5 mm (height)
• Data transfer rate: up to 6 Gbit/s
• Material: plastic housing
• Colour: black
• Weight: 0.0281 kg
• Standards: CE, REACH

How to use

Install the M.2 SSD onto the interface card following the module’s notch/key orientation and secure it with the appropriate mounting screw or retention mechanism. Insert the assembled card into the compatible bay or adapter slot, ensuring correct alignment with the receiving connector. After mechanical installation, verify the connection in the host system BIOS or operating system storage management tools and format or initialize the drive as needed for use.

Recommendations

Use the card in environments that match the enclosure’s thermal and mechanical constraints; avoid excessive flexing or exposure to liquids. For best performance, pair the interface card with an M.2 SSD and host interface that both support the target transfer rate and follow the manufacturer’s mounting torque and electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions during installation.
