InfiniBand/Fibre Optic Cable SFP+ PLANET CB-DASFP-2M

PLANET CB-DASFP-0.5/2M is a 10G SFP+ Directly-attached Copper (DAC) cable available in 0.5 m and 2 m lengths. It features SFP+ connectors on both ends and is designed to provide high-performance 10G Ethernet connectivity for short-reach interconnects within racks and between adjacent racks. The cable is compatible with PLANET devices that have a 10G SFP+ interface, including models such as XGS3-2SFP+, XGSW-28040 and the ENW-980x NIC series.

Advantages

The CB-DASFP-0.5/2M offers low-latency, high-bandwidth 10G transmission with a compact, pre-terminated design that simplifies installation. Being a directly-attached copper cable eliminates the need for separate transceivers, reduces power consumption compared with active optical solutions, and ensures stable performance for short-distance links inside data center racks.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack and end-of-row server to switch connections
• Interconnects between adjacent racks in data centers
• High-speed links for NICs and 10G SFP+ switch ports

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ to SFP+
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Available lengths: 0.5 m and 2 m (product name CB-DASFP-0.5/2M)
• Color: Black
• Compatible with PLANET 10G SFP+ devices (e.g., XGS3-2SFP+, XGSW-28040, ENW-980x series)

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding 10G SFP+ port on the devices to be connected. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-plug procedures recommended by the device manufacturer. After physical installation, verify link status on both devices and configure network settings as required for your environment.

Recommendations

Use the CB-DASFP-0.5/2M for short-reach connections inside racks or to adjacent racks where 10G performance is required. Avoid stretching the cable beyond its length rating and keep it away from sharp edges and sources of electromagnetic interference. Choose the appropriate length (0.5 m or 2 m) to minimize excess cabling and maintain optimal airflow in rack environments.
