InLine 39902 FireWire 800 cable 1.8m plug/plug black

The InLine FireWire 800 Cable (39902) is a 1.8 m, black IEEE1394b adapter cable with 9-pin male connectors on both ends. It is designed to connect FireWire 800 (800 Mbit/s) devices such as external hard drives and digital video cameras to a FireWire controller with an IEEE1394b port, providing a direct high-speed data connection.

Advantages

This FireWire 800 cable supports data transfer rates up to 800 Mbit/s and features a 9-pin male-to-male configuration for compatibility with IEEE1394b ports. Its 1.8 m length offers flexibility in device placement, and the black, durable construction is intended to provide reliable performance for both professional and personal applications.

Suitable for

• Connecting external hard drives to a FireWire 800 controller
• Linking digital video cameras and camcorders with IEEE1394b ports
• Data transfer between FireWire 800 devices in studio or home setups

Key specifications

• Standard: IEEE1394b (FireWire 800)
• Connector type: 9-pin male to 9-pin male
• Length: 1.8 m
• Data rate: up to 800 Mbit/s
• Color: black
• Brand: InLine, MPN: 39902, EAN: 4043718029648

How to use

Connect one 9-pin male connector of the FireWire 800 cable to the IEEE1394b port on your device (for example, an external hard drive or camera) and plug the other 9-pin male connector into the FireWire controller or host port on your computer or hub. Ensure connectors are fully seated before powering on devices. Use appropriate device drivers or operating system settings to recognize and configure connected hardware.

Recommendations

For stable transfer rates, avoid tight bends and excessive strain on the cable; route the cable to minimize interference from power cords and other sources. Verify that both devices support IEEE1394b (FireWire 800) to achieve the specified 800 Mbit/s performance.
