InLine 89907 optical audio adapter 3.5mm socket / Toslink plug

The InLine Optical Audio Coupling (3.5mm female / Toslink male) adapts between a 3.5mm optical jack and a Toslink plug to allow optical audio connections between devices with different connector types. The adapter is compact, black, and intended for inline use to transmit digital audio signals without electrical interference.

Advantages

This coupling provides a simple mechanical adapter between a 3.5mm optical socket and a Toslink plug, enabling compatibility when one device uses a 3.5mm optical jack and the other uses a standard Toslink connector. Its inline form factor keeps the connection stable and reduces cable strain. The adapter preserves digital optical signal quality and requires no power or configuration.

Suitable for

• Connecting portable audio players or smartphones with a 3.5mm optical output to Toslink-equipped soundbars or AV receivers
• Linking audio components in home theater setups where one device uses a 3.5mm optical jack and the other uses Toslink
• Adapting short optical cables or extension leads to fit Toslink ports

Key specifications

How to use

Insert the Toslink male plug of the adapter into the Toslink input on the receiving device. Connect an optical cable or a device’s 3.5mm optical jack to the adapter’s 3.5mm female socket. Ensure connectors are aligned and seated firmly; the adapter functions passively and requires no additional setup. Check the audio device settings to select the optical input if necessary.

Recommendations

To maintain signal integrity, avoid sharp bends in optical cables near the adapter and keep connectors free from dust. Use the adapter for short inline connections and avoid excessive mechanical stress on the plug junctions.
