InLine HDMI Audio Extractor, 4K2K HDMI Input

The InLine HDMI Audio Extractor 65007K 4K2K extracts the original HDMI audio signal and converts it into digital optical (S/PDIF) or analog multi-channel output without reducing video resolution. It accepts a 4K2K HDMI input and provides 7.1-channel audio output, allowing you to route sound to external speakers or audio systems while the video is passed through to a display.

Advantages

This extractor preserves the HDMI video quality up to 4K2K while delivering a 7.1-channel audio signal via optical or analog outputs. It supports a single HDMI input channel for straightforward audio separation, is compatible with displays that do not support embedded HDMI sound, and comes in a compact black enclosure suitable for home theater and AV installations.

Suitable for

• Home theater systems requiring 7.1 audio from HDMI sources
• Monitors or displays that do not reproduce HDMI audio
• Audio setups that need optical (S/PDIF) or analog multi-channel outputs
• AV installations where video passthrough at 4K2K resolution is required

How to use

Connect the HDMI source (e.g., Blu-ray player, set-top box, or media streamer) to the HDMI input of the extractor. Connect the extractor's HDMI output to your display to pass through video at up to 4K2K resolution. Use the optical (S/PDIF) or analog multi-channel outputs to connect to an external AV receiver or speaker system. Ensure compatible HDMI cables and source/display devices when using 4K2K signals.

Recommendations

For best results with 4K2K content, use high-speed HDMI cables and ensure both the source and display support the same 4K2K format. When the display does not support embedded HDMI audio, use the extractor’s optical or analog outputs to feed your audio system.
