Internal M.2 adapter Silverstone SST-ECM24-ARGB

The SILVERSTONE Internal M.2 Adapter SST-ECM24-ARGB is an internal PCIe-compatible M.2 adapter designed to expand and organise storage inside desktop systems. With compact dimensions of 121mm x 130mm x 20mm and a black finish, the adapter accepts one or more M.2 PCIe NVMe drives and connects to the motherboard via a PCIe slot. Integrated ARGB lighting provides customizable illumination that can be synced with compatible motherboard lighting software, combining functional storage expansion with visual integration into modern PC builds.

Advantages

This internal M.2 adapter offers a space-efficient way to add M.2 PCIe NVMe storage without modifying the motherboard. The compact footprint and standard PCIe interface make installation straightforward in most ATX, microATX, and Mini-ITX enclosures that have an available PCIe slot. The ARGB lighting adds addressable illumination for visual coordination with other ARGB components. The adapter's construction supports stable mechanical mounting and cable routing for a clean interior layout.

Suitable for

• Upgrading desktop storage with additional M.2 PCIe NVMe drives
• Systems lacking free M.2 slots on the motherboard
• PC builds that incorporate ARGB lighting for coordinated aesthetics
• Workstations requiring additional high-speed storage capacity

Key specifications

• Form factor: internal PCIe adapter compatible with desktop PCIe slots
• Supported drives: M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs (single or multiple depending on adapter design)
• Dimensions: 121 mm x 130 mm x 20 mm
• Finish: black
• Lighting: addressable RGB (ARGB) header for synchronization with compatible controllers

How to use

Power down the computer and unplug it from the mains. Install the M.2 NVMe drive(s) into the adapter following the device's mounting holes and secure with the supplied standoffs or screws. Insert the adapter into an available PCIe slot on the motherboard and fasten the adapter bracket to the chassis. Connect any required ARGB cable to a compatible ARGB header on the motherboard or controller. Reconnect power and boot the system; the operating system should detect the installed NVMe drive(s) where you can format and partition as needed.

Recommendations

Ensure the case has adequate airflow around the adapter and M.2 drives to maintain thermal stability. Use compatible ARGB software to configure lighting effects, and verify motherboard BIOS and operating system support for added NVMe storage before installation.
