JATA MOD. AC38 Bread Knife

The JATA MOD. AC38 bread knife set contains three stainless steel bread knives with 12 cm blades designed for precise, tear-free slicing. Each knife combines a serrated edge and a balanced handle profile to deliver consistent cuts through soft and crusty loaves, ensuring uniform slices for sandwiches, toasts and artisan breads. The stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance and straightforward cleaning, suitable for daily kitchen use.

Advantages

These bread knives offer a serrated blade geometry that reduces crushing and tearing while cutting. The compact 12 cm blade length makes them easy to control for short, accurate strokes and for working in confined spaces. Stainless steel blades and handles are durable and require minimal maintenance. The set format supplies multiple knives for simultaneous tasks or for keeping spares ready during meal preparation.

Suitable for

• Slicing sandwich loaves and dinner rolls
• Cutting crusty artisan bread and baguettes
• Preparing toast, panini and small baked goods
• Kitchen tasks requiring precise short strokes

Key specifications

• Blade material: stainless steel
• Blade length: 12 cm
• Edge type: serrated blade for bread
• Set contents: three identical bread knives
• Intended use: domestic kitchen cutting of bread and baked goods

How to use

Hold the knife with a firm but relaxed grip and use a gentle back-and-forth sawing motion rather than pressing down hard. Start the cut at the crust edge and let the serrated blade do the work, making short controlled strokes along the length of the loaf to produce even slices. For uniform thickness, rotate the loaf or adjust hand position as needed. After use, rinse under running water and dry promptly to maintain blade condition.

Recommendations

For best results, use the knives for bread and soft baked products only; avoid cutting hard materials like bones or frozen items. Store the knives in a drawer insert or knife block to protect the cutting edge and keep them dry to prevent surface staining. Occasional honing with a suitable serrated knife tool will help maintain cutting performance.
