KS Tools 151.2251 L-Torx Key

The KS Tools L-torx key 151.2251 is a single-piece L-shaped driver designed for use with internal torx fasteners. Manufactured from chromium-vanadium steel, the tool combines strength with resistance to wear for frequent tightening and loosening operations. With a long arm length of 7.6 cm and a short arm length of 2.6 cm, this compact key offers leverage and access in confined spaces while remaining lightweight at 40 g for comfortable handling.

Advantages

The chromium-vanadium steel construction provides durability and good torsional resistance during use. The L-shape delivers mechanical advantage: the long arm is suited for reach and torque, while the short arm gives orientation and control in tight locations. As a single-piece design, the key has no moving parts and requires minimal maintenance. Its low weight makes it convenient for carry in a pocket or tool roll without adding bulk.

Suitable for

• Automotive maintenance and repair of internal torx fasteners
• Assembly and disassembly of electronics and appliances with torx fittings
• General workshop and DIY tasks requiring compact torx access

Key specifications

• Material: chromium-vanadium steel
• Design: single-piece L-shaped torx key
• Long arm length: 7.6 cm
• Short arm length: 2.6 cm
• Weight: 40 g

How to use

Choose the correct torx size that matches the fastener head and insert the short or long arm into the screw head depending on required torque and access. Use the long arm for higher torque by holding the short arm, and use the short arm when working in restricted clearance by holding the long arm. Apply steady, even force to avoid cam-out and inspect the tool and fastener for wear before use. After use, clean any debris and store the key in a dry place to prevent corrosion.

Recommendations

For safe and effective operation, select the arm orientation that provides the best balance of torque and access. Avoid excessive force beyond the tool's mechanical limits; if a fastener is seized, use penetrating lubricant and allow time before attempting removal. Regularly check the tip for rounding and replace the tool if deformation is visible to prevent damage to fastener heads.
