KS Tools 918.1293 Hand Tool Shaft

The KS Tools hand tool shaft 918.1293 is a robust drive shaft designed for demanding workshop and industrial use. Manufactured from chromium-vanadium steel, the shaft combines high strength with resistance to wear and deformation. With a total length of 760 mm and a mass of 1.63 kg, the tool provides the leverage and solidity required for controlled torque transfer in fastening and loosening operations. The product conforms to DIN 3120 and ISO 1174 standards, reflecting dimensional and safety characteristics expected for professional hand tool shafts.

Advantages

The chromium-vanadium construction ensures long service life and good fatigue resistance. The 760 mm length offers increased leverage for applying torque without excessive force, while the shaft’s balanced weight contributes to stable handling. Compliance with DIN 3120 and ISO 1174 indicates standardized dimensions and interface compatibility with common sockets and accessories. The straightforward, solid design facilitates reliable torque transmission in repeated use.

Suitable for

• Applying controlled torque to large fasteners in mechanical and industrial maintenance
• Loosening seized nuts and bolts where additional leverage is required
• Workshop tasks requiring a durable hand-operated drive shaft
• Use with compatible sockets and extensions for automotive or agricultural equipment

Key specifications

• Material: chromium-vanadium steel
• Length: 760 mm
• Weight: 1.63 kg
• Standards: DIN 3120, ISO 1174
• Design: solid hand tool shaft for manual torque application

How to use

Attach the appropriate socket or accessory to the drive end, ensuring a secure fit before applying force. Position the shaft so that force is applied along the tool axis and use steady, controlled pressure to turn the fastener. For loosening, apply gradual increasing force to avoid sudden breakage of corroded components. After use, inspect the connection points for wear and remove any debris. Store the shaft in a dry place to reduce corrosion risk and maintain its functional fit with sockets.

Recommendations

Use the shaft only with sockets and accessories that match the standardized interface and size. Avoid impact tools or excessive bending loads not intended for hand-operated shafts. Regularly check for signs of wear or damage and replace the shaft if deformation or cracks appear.
