KWB 492012 sanding disc, 5 pieces

These sanding discs Ø 150 mm are made with aluminium oxide abrasive bonded in phenolic resin on a strong backing and have a hook-and-loop fabric attachment. The set contains five discs suitable for sanding wood, metal and painted surfaces and is intended for use with random orbit sanders to remove paint, varnish and filler and to achieve a smooth surface.

Advantages

The aluminium oxide abrasive provides durable cutting performance on both wood and metal. Phenolic resin bonding secures the abrasive grains for consistent sanding, while the robust backing ensures disc stability and reduced tearing. Hook-and-loop fabric backing allows quick and secure disc changes on compatible random orbit sanders.

How to use

Attach the disc to the random orbit sander using the hook-and-loop fabric backing, ensuring it is centered and firmly pressed to avoid wobble. Start sanding with light pressure and move the sander evenly across the surface; increase pressure slightly only if needed. Replace discs when abrasive performance diminishes or the backing is damaged. Use appropriate grit progression for the material and finish required.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety goggles, dust mask and hearing protection. Match the disc grit to the task: coarser grits for rapid material removal, finer grits for smoothing and finishing. Keep the workpiece secure and avoid excessive heat buildup by not applying excessive pressure.
