Laserliner AirflowTest-Master Anemometer Pocket/Hand Wind Meter

The Laserliner AirflowTest-Master Pocket/hand-held Windmill is a compact anemometer for measuring wind speed and ambient conditions. It measures wind speed from 0.8 to 30 m/s and ambient temperature from -10 to 60 °C. The device includes an integrated sensor for relative humidity and dew point calculation, an internal memory for saving measured data, a large 65 mm impeller and an illuminated display that permanently shows ambient temperature and relative humidity. It is powered by a 9V battery and has a 1/4" tripod connection for long-term measurements, plus USB interface and PC software for real-time logging.

Advantages

The instrument provides combined readings of wind speed, ambient temperature, relative humidity and calculated dew point in a single handheld unit. Min/Max and Hold functions allow tracking of peak and current values while internal memory stores measurement data for review. The large 65 mm impeller improves airflow capture for more stable readings, and the illuminated, clearly arranged display ensures values are visible in varied lighting conditions. USB connectivity and accompanying PC software enable real-time logging and data transfer.

How to use

Insert a 9V battery and switch on the device. Position the anemometer so the impeller faces the airflow and, if needed, mount it on a 1/4" tripod for stable, long-term measurements. Use the display to read wind speed, ambient temperature and relative humidity; activate Min/Max or Hold to capture extreme or current values. Connect the unit via USB to a PC and run the supplied software for live data logging and to download stored measurements from internal memory.

Recommendations

For accurate wind speed readings, ensure the impeller is clean and rotates freely; avoid obstructing airflow with hands or body. Use tripod mounting for long-term monitoring and when measuring in variable wind conditions. When measuring temperature or humidity, allow the sensor to equilibrate to the ambient environment before recording.
