Lenovo laser 3-button USB PS2 mouse

The Lenovo Laser 3Button USB PS2 is a compact wired mouse designed to deliver precise cursor control with a laser sensor suitable for a variety of surfaces. Featuring a three-button layout and a shape intended for everyday use, this mouse supports both USB and PS/2 connections for broad compatibility with desktop computers and older systems. The product targets users who need a reliable, no-frills pointing device for office tasks, light multimedia work and casual gaming.

Advantages

The laser sensor provides accurate tracking and improved responsiveness compared with basic optical sensors, enabling smoother pointer movement and finer control. The three-button configuration includes left, right and scroll-click functions for standard navigation and quick access to context menus. Dual-interface support (USB and PS/2) increases compatibility with a wide range of PCs and legacy motherboards without requiring extra adapters. The compact ergonomic profile fits most hand sizes and supports extended use with a minimal learning curve.

Suitable for

• Office productivity tasks such as document editing and spreadsheet navigation
• Web browsing and email management
• Casual gaming and multimedia control
• Systems requiring PS/2 connectivity or USB backward compatibility

Key specifications

• Sensor type: Laser sensor for precise tracking
• Buttons: Three-button layout with clickable scroll wheel
• Connectivity: Wired connection with USB and PS/2 interfaces
• Ergonomics: Compact, symmetric shape suitable for right- and left-handed use
• Power: Powered through wired connection, no batteries required

How to use

Connect the mouse to a computer using the appropriate connector: insert the USB plug into a free USB port or attach the PS/2 plug to a compatible PS/2 port on the system motherboard. The operating system will typically recognize the device automatically and install basic drivers. Use the left and right buttons for standard selection and context-menu actions; press the scroll wheel to use the middle-click function when supported by applications. Adjust pointer speed and button settings through the operating system’s mouse settings panel if finer control is required.

Recommendations

Place the mouse on a flat, stable surface or a mouse pad designed for laser sensors to ensure consistent tracking. For systems that support both connector types, prefer USB for plug-and-play convenience; use PS/2 on systems without available USB ports or where BIOS-level mouse support is required. Clean the sensor area periodically and avoid obstructing the sensor with dust or debris to maintain accurate tracking performance.
