Lian Li Strimer Cable 8pin 0.3m

The Lian Li Strimer 8pin 0.3m is an 8-pin RGB extension cable designed to add customizable neon lighting to a PC build while maintaining reliable power delivery. Measuring 0.3 m in length with a slim profile (approx. 300 mm × 4.2 mm × 15 mm), the cable features a dual-layer construction that separates the optic fiber lighting layer from the power conductor to prevent interference and ensure steady circuit performance. The product includes an independent PCI bracket controller for lighting control when a compatible 5V ARGB motherboard is not used.

Advantages

The dual-layer design keeps lighting and power independent, reducing interference and maintaining stable power flow. High-quality optic fiber ensures even and smooth light transmission across eight fine fiber strands paired with eight LED emitters. The cable supports synchronization with 5V ARGB-enabled motherboards or can be operated via the included PCI bracket controller for standalone customization. Its 1.5 cm thickness gives a prominent neon effect suitable for visible front-of-motherboard illumination.

Suitable for

• PC enthusiasts and modders who want visible RGB illumination around the motherboard area
• Builds requiring an 8-pin RGB PSU cable extension for GPU or other components
• Systems with 5V ARGB-compatible motherboards or users who prefer an external PCI bracket controller

How to use

Connect the Strimer 8pin extension to the PSU or the target 8‑pin connector that requires extension, ensuring secure seating of both 8‑pin plugs. For motherboard-synchronized lighting, attach the 3‑pin 5V ARGB header to a compatible motherboard header and enable ARGB control in the motherboard software. To use independent lighting control, install the included PCI bracket controller into an available PCI slot and connect the cable to it. Route the cable inside the chassis to achieve the desired front-of-motherboard illumination and secure with standard cable-management ties or clips.

Recommendations

Verify that your motherboard supports a 5V ARGB header before using synchronization; otherwise use the included PCI bracket controller. Avoid excessive bending of the optic fiber area and secure cables to prevent strain on connectors. Use manufacturer software or the PCI controller to adjust brightness and effects to compatible levels for consistent LED performance.
