Lindy 60523 Electrical Installation Box

The Lindy 60523 electrical box accessory is a compact enclosure designed to organize and protect electrical connections in domestic and light-commercial installations. With external dimensions of 86 mm x 86 mm x 47 mm, the unit provides a shallow profile that fits into tight spaces while allowing secure mounting of wiring terminations and small components. The accessory is intended to support safe, tidy cabling runs and to reduce exposure of live parts.

Advantages

The accessory combines a small footprint with a durable construction to offer long-lasting protection for connections. Its measured depth and standardized front dimensions simplify installation into common mounting patterns. The design minimizes obstruction inside service locations and supports straightforward access for inspection and maintenance without requiring large recesses.

Suitable for

• Connecting and terminating low-voltage wiring in residential wall or surface installations
• Enclosing junctions for data, audio, or control cables where a compact box is needed
• Organizing wiring behind faceplates, modules, or small devices
• Temporary or permanent protection of small terminal blocks in service areas

Key specifications

• External dimensions: 86 mm x 86 mm x 47 mm (width x height x depth)
• Compact, shallow enclosure suitable for constrained spaces
• Material: durable construction intended for mechanical protection of wiring
• Mounting: designed for common wall or surface-mounting arrangements
• Application: suitable for low-voltage electrical, data and control cable junctions

How to use

Prepare the installation area by switching off relevant circuits and verifying absence of live voltage. Position the box so its front aligns with the intended faceplate or module, mark fixing points and route cables into the enclosure through appropriate entry points. Secure the box to the mounting surface, arrange and terminate conductors using suitable connectors or terminal blocks, then close the box ensuring any cover or plate is correctly seated. Restore power only after confirming correct connections and that the enclosure is properly closed.

Recommendations

Use the accessory only with compatible wiring and components, ensuring compliance with local electrical regulations. For installations carrying mains voltage, follow national wiring codes, use appropriate cable glands or grommets for any penetrations, and consult a qualified electrician when uncertain about safe installation practices.
