LogiLink Cat.6 S/FTP 2m Network Cable

The LogiLink Cat.6 S/FTP 2m networking cable is a 2-meter, black Ethernet patch cable designed for Cat6 performance. It uses S/FTP (shielded pair with overall braid) construction with PIMF (paired in metal foil) shielded twisted pairs and bare copper conductors, terminated with RJ45 connectors on both ends. The LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket reduces toxic fumes in case of fire. The cable conforms to ISO/IEC 11801, EN50288 and TIA/EIA 568-B.2-1 standards and weighs approximately 60 g.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding and PIMF construction provide improved protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded cables. Bare copper conductors ensure good conductivity for high-speed data transmission. The LSZH jacket enhances safety in enclosed environments by emitting less smoke and no halogenated gases if exposed to flame. The 2 m length and RJ45 connectors make the cable ready for immediate connection between devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers in home or office networks
• Wired Ethernet connections requiring Cat6 performance
• Environments where reduced smoke and halogen emissions are preferred (indoors, public buildings)

Key specifications

• Cable type: Cat.6 S/FTP (PIMF)
• Length: 2 m
• Connectors: RJ45 – RJ45
• Conductor: bare copper
• Wire gauge: AWG 27/7
• Jacket: LSZH (low smoke zero halogen)
• Weight: approx. 60 g
• Standards: ISO/IEC 11801, EN50288, TIA/EIA 568-B.2-1

How to use

Insert each RJ45 connector into the Ethernet port of the devices you wish to connect (for example, PC to switch or router). Ensure connectors click into place for a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension or interference from high-power electrical lines. For best performance, avoid tightly coiling the cable and keep it away from sources of strong electromagnetic noise.

Recommendations

For reliable Cat6 performance, use this LogiLink S/FTP cable for runs up to its length and combine with properly rated networking equipment. In installations requiring longer runs or permanent in-wall cabling, consult installation standards and local regulations for appropriate cable type and maximum segment length.
