LogiLink CV0057 Cable Adapter

The LogiLink CV0057 Cable Gender Changer adapts a DisplayPort output to an HDMI input, allowing devices with DisplayPort connectors—such as many notebooks and desktop PCs—to connect to HDMI displays like TVs, projectors and AV receivers. The adapter has gold-plated contacts and a compact white-and-yellow design for straightforward integration into home or office setups.

Advantages

The adapter converts DisplayPort signals to HDMI, supporting transmission of high-definition video and audio through a single connection. Gold-plated contacts help maintain signal quality and reduce corrosion. Its compact form factor and simple plug-and-play usage make it convenient for temporary or semi-permanent installations where a DisplayPort-to-HDMI connection is required.

• Connecting a laptop or PC with DisplayPort to an HDMI TV
• Connecting a computer to a projector for presentations
• Linking a DisplayPort-equipped source to an AV receiver or HDMI monitor

How to use

Plug the DisplayPort end of the adapter into the source device’s DisplayPort output and connect an HDMI cable from the adapter’s HDMI end to the display device. Ensure both devices are powered on and select the appropriate HDMI input on the display. The adapter is plug-and-play in most systems; if necessary, adjust the display resolution in the operating system settings.

Recommendations

For reliable results, use a high-quality HDMI cable and avoid excessive bending or strain at the connector ends. If audio is not detected, check the source device’s audio output settings and select the HDMI output as the audio device.
