LowProfile Slot Cable Exsys EX-K41005 25-pin Parallel 30 cm

Exsys EX-K41005 LowProfile Slot Cable is a compact 30 cm connection cable with a 25-pin parallel connector designed to link legacy parallel devices to low-profile PCI/slot brackets or adapters. The cable provides a space-saving route for parallel signals at the rear of desktop systems, enabling use of parallel printers, scanners, and industrial peripherals where full-height connectors are impractical. Its length and low-profile format are intended for tidy installation inside small form-factor enclosures.

Advantages

The cable's low-profile design reduces obstruction inside compact desktop cases while preserving the standard 25-pin parallel pinout for compatibility with a wide range of legacy devices. A 30 cm length balances reach and cable management, minimizing excess slack. The connector and cable assembly are engineered for stable signal transmission across parallel lines, supporting reliable data exchange with printers and industrial equipment that rely on parallel interfaces.

Suitable for

• Connecting parallel printers to low-profile slot brackets
• Linking scanners or legacy peripherals in compact desktop systems
• Slot-mounted parallel interfaces on small form-factor PCs
• Industrial or laboratory equipment requiring a 25-pin parallel link

Key specifications

• Connector type: 25‑pin parallel (DB-25) on cable end
• Cable format: Low-profile slot cable for slot-mounted brackets/adapters
• Length: 30 cm
• Usage orientation: Internal rear-panel/slot-mounted routing in desktop cases
• Compatibility: Standard parallel pinout for legacy peripherals

How to use

Install the slot bracket or adapter into an available low-profile slot opening on the PC chassis, route the Exsys low-profile cable from the bracket inside the case and connect the 25-pin parallel connector to the peripheral or adapter header as required. Ensure connectors are fully seated and secure any cable to prevent strain on the connector; avoid sharp bends near the termination points. After physical connection, power on the system and verify device detection and driver configuration in the operating system.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, keep the cable clear of high-power cables and sources of electrical interference. Use the 30 cm length for tidy routing behind the motherboard tray or along chassis edges, and fasten with cable ties to prevent movement. Verify that the peripheral uses the standard parallel pinout before connection to avoid potential signal mismatches.
