MASTERLOCK 85 mm Wide Solid Brass Body Padlock Model 608EURD

MASTERLOCK padlock model 608EURD features an 85 mm wide solid brass body designed for reliable physical security of gates, sheds, lockers and storage containers. The brass construction offers corrosion resistance for outdoor use while maintaining a durable exterior. The padlock uses a keyed 5-pin cylinder and a hardened steel shackle to provide resistance against picking and cutting, and dual locking levers increase protection from prying and impact.

Advantages

The solid brass body provides long-term resistance to weather and corrosion without sacrificing strength. A hardened steel shackle improves cut resistance, while the 5-pin cylinder design reduces vulnerability to common picking methods. Dual locking levers add mechanical protection against prying and hammering. The product is covered by a limited lifetime warranty that addresses manufacturing defects under normal use.

Suitable for

• Securing outdoor gates and fences
• Locking garden sheds and storage containers
• Protecting garage doors and tool cabinets
• Securing lockers and storage units in commercial or domestic settings

Key specifications

• Body material: solid brass
• Body width: 85 mm
• Shackle material: hardened steel
• Locking mechanism: keyed 5-pin cylinder
• Locking system: dual locking levers for shackle security
• Intended use: indoor and outdoor applications

How to use

Insert the key and rotate to retract the locking mechanism, open the shackle, position the shackle through the hasp or fixture, then close the shackle and remove the key to engage the lock. For keyed operation, keep spare keys in a secure place to avoid lockouts. Periodically operate the key and apply a light lubricant to the shackle and keyway to maintain smooth operation, especially after exposure to harsh weather.

Recommendations

Use the padlock on fittings and hasps that fully accommodate the 85 mm body and the shackle diameter. For high-theft environments, combine with reinforced hasps or chains and check mounting points for corrosion or wear. Regular inspection and occasional lubrication will prolong service life and maintain locking reliability.
