MASTERLOCK Coiled Cord 8143EURDPRO 120 cm Cable Lock — Security Cable for Devices

Coiled Cord MASTERLOCK 8143EURDPRO 120 cm is a compact security cable designed to protect portable devices and equipment from opportunistic theft. The retractable coil extends to secure laptops, monitors and other lock-ready devices, then contracts for compact storage and easy transport. The cable provides a visible deterrent while remaining flexible enough for everyday office, retail or travel use.

Advantages

The coiled design combines reach and compactness: it extends when needed and retracts to reduce clutter. Constructed for everyday use, the cable resists kinking and tangling, and its visible presence deters casual theft. The product is compatible with devices that have a standard lock slot, enabling quick attachment and removal without complex tools.

Suitable for

• Securing laptops and notebooks in shared or public spaces
• Protecting monitors, all-in-one PCs and docking stations
• Use in offices, retail displays and reception areas
• Temporary protection during travel or events

Key specifications

• Cable type: coiled security cord
• Extended length: up to 120 cm (coiled/retractable)
• Design: flexible, retractable coil for compact storage
• Compatibility: for devices with a standard lock slot (lock-ready)
• Usage: indoor use for portable electronics and equipment

How to use

Insert the compatible lock head into the device's lock slot and secure according to the lock manufacturer’s instructions (lock sold separately or included depending on package). Pull the cable to extend it to the required length and loop the free end around a fixed, immovable anchor point such as a heavy desk leg or secured fixture. Allow the coil to retract slightly so the cable remains taut but not under excessive tension. Verify the connection before leaving the device unattended.

Recommendations

For effective deterrence, use the cable together with a high-quality lock and attach to an immovable anchor. Inspect the cable periodically for wear or damage, avoid sharp edges that could chafe the sheath, and store retracted when not in use to minimize clutter. This product is intended as a theft deterrent for opportunistic situations and does not replace physical security measures or insurance for high-value assets.
