MASTERLOCK key box 5482EURD removable bracket weather resistant

MASTERLOCK Key Box 5482EURD removable bracket weather resistant is a weather resistant outdoor key storage solution designed to secure and organise keys in exposed locations. The unit features a removable mounting bracket for flexible installation and access control, allowing authorised users to retrieve keys while keeping them protected from rain, dust and other environmental factors.

Advantages

The key box combines a compact footprint with corrosion-resistant construction and a weather-sealed design, providing reliable protection for keys stored outdoors. The removable bracket simplifies installation and removal for maintenance or relocation without compromising stability when mounted. The product supports coded or key-access mechanisms to control authorised entry and reduce the need for duplicate keys distributed to multiple users.

Suitable for

• Property managers controlling access to rental units and communal areas
• Maintenance teams requiring on-site access to tools or service areas
• Construction sites and contractors needing temporary secure key storage
• Shared access points such as facilities, real estate viewings or equipment rooms

Key specifications

• Weather resistant housing designed for outdoor use
• Removable mounting bracket for fixed or portable installation
• Compact external dimensions suitable for wall or post mounting
• Durable materials and corrosion-resistant finishes for exposed environments
• Secure access control via coded mechanism or key-operated lock (model-dependent)

How to use

Mount the removable bracket to a suitable surface such as a wall or post using appropriate fasteners for the substrate. Attach the key box to the bracket so it sits securely, then set or verify the access code or insert the operating key according to the unit’s locking mechanism. Store keys inside the protected compartment and close the box to engage the seal. For temporary relocation, detach the box from the bracket and reattach at the new location or carry as needed.

Recommendations

Install the bracket at a height and location that balances user convenience with security, avoiding direct contact with sprinkler systems or areas prone to flooding. Periodically check seals, fasteners and the lock mechanism for wear and clean the housing to maintain weather resistance and reliable operation.
