MicroConnect ColorFlex Clips for USB MC-SR-R-USB – flexible construction, robust material

MicroConnect ColorFlex Clips for USB are accessory clips designed to organize and secure USB cables. With a flexible design and durable material, these clips reduce strain on cable ends, improve cable routing and help maintain tidy connections in home, office or IT environments. The compact form factor allows discreet mounting on desks, walls or equipment racks without adding bulk.

Advantages

The flexible construction adapts to different USB cable diameters and connector shapes while the durable material resists wear and repeated handling. Color-coded options simplify visual identification of cable runs and endpoints. The clips provide gentle retention that prevents accidental unplugging and reduces mechanical stress at connector junctions, contributing to longer cable life and more reliable connections.

Suitable for

• Organizing USB cables for desktop computers, laptops and docking stations
• Securing connections for peripherals such as printers, scanners and external drives
• Cable management in small office, home office (SOHO) and IT closet environments
• Reducing strain on USB connectors in shared workstations and public kiosks

Key specifications

• Material: flexible, wear-resistant polymer
• Compatibility: fits standard USB cable diameters and common connector profiles
• Mounting: clip-on design for edge or cable bundling placement
• Finish: color options for visual identification
• Dimensions: compact footprint suitable for tight cable spaces

How to use

Slide the ColorFlex clip over the USB cable or position it at the connector junction, then press the clip onto a suitable edge or wrap around a small bundle to secure the cable. For color identification, place clips consistently on either the host or device side. Ensure the clip does not obstruct connector seating; adjust position to relieve strain at the cable exit point and test the connection after installation.

Recommendations

Use ColorFlex clips on cables before arranging permanent routing to identify optimal positions for strain relief. Avoid excessive bending at the connector and do not force oversized connectors into the clip. For high-traffic or frequently disconnected cables, select clips in contrasting colors to highlight removable connections.
