Microconnect MC-PCIE-MCS1P2S Interface Cards/Adapters Internal Parallel

The MicroConnect MC-PCIE-MCS1P2S is an internal PCIe x1 interface card that provides one parallel DB25 port and two serial DB9 ports. Designed for installation into any system with an available PCI Express slot, the card uses the MSC9901 native single-chip design to deliver reliable connectivity for parallel and serial peripherals while remaining compact (146 mm x 111 mm x 28 mm) and lightweight (0.1 kg).

Advantages

This PCIe interface card combines parallel and serial connectivity on a single adapter, reducing the need for multiple expansion cards. The native single-chip MSC9901 implementation optimises PCI Express bandwidth for stable data transfer and improved compatibility with host systems. Its compact internal form factor fits standard desktop and industrial PCs with a free PCIe x1 slot.

Suitable for

• Connecting legacy parallel printers and devices via DB25
• Attaching serial devices such as modems, barcode scanners or industrial controllers via DB9
• Upgrading systems that lack built-in parallel or serial ports

How to use

Power down the computer and open the case according to the system manufacturer’s instructions. Insert the MC-PCIE-MCS1P2S into an available PCI Express x1 slot and secure the card with the expansion slot screw. Close the case, power on the system and install any required drivers supplied by the operating system or the card vendor. Connect parallel or serial peripherals to the DB25/DB9 connectors after drivers are installed and recognised by the host.

Recommendations

Install the card in a PCIe x1 slot for optimal operation and confirm driver compatibility with your OS version. For reliable connections, use appropriate shielded cables for serial and parallel devices and avoid hot-plugging when system support for hot-swap is not provided.
