Microsoft Surface Pro Type Cover Keyboard – Black (EP2-00459)

The Microsoft Surface Pro Type Cover transforms your Surface Pro into a full laptop experience with a mechanical keyset, LED backlighting, and a large glass trackpad. Unlike generic Bluetooth keyboards, it attaches magnetically and draws power directly from the Surface Pro, so there are no batteries to charge or dongles to lose. The ultra-slim design doubles as a protective screen cover, and the keys are optimized for comfortable, accurate typing.

Highlights

• Mechanical keyset with optimized key spacing and full QWERTY layout
• LED backlighting for low-light typing
• Large glass trackpad with precise multi-touch gestures
• Magnetic attachment to Surface Pro 3, 4, 5th Gen, 6, 7, and 7+
• Doubles as a screen cover to protect your device
• Powered by the Surface Pro – no batteries or charging needed

In daily use

Snap the Type Cover onto your Surface Pro and it instantly becomes a productivity machine. The backlit keys let you work in dim environments, while the trackpad supports smooth scrolling and gestures. When you're done, close the cover and it protects the screen from scratches and bumps.
