Mitre saw Einhell TC-SM 254

The Einhell TC-SM 254 miter saw is a benchtop crosscut and miter saw designed for demanding DIY tasks in the home, workshop or garage. Equipped with a high‑speed motor (rated 1800–1900 W depending on source) and a 254 mm external / 30 mm bore carbide saw blade, it delivers the power and precision required for accurate crosscuts and angled cuts. The saw includes a smooth sliding function for wider workpieces, an adjustable turntable with precise angle settings and common-angle locking positions, plus clear scales for angle and width. The saw head tilts to the left for miter cuts, and the cutting capacity reaches up to 305 mm at 90° and up to 215 mm at 45°. An integrated cutting-line laser and extendable supports on both sides assist when working with longer workpieces. The spindle lock allows quick blade changes, and a dust collection outlet (36 mm) with supplied dust bag helps keep the work area cleaner.

Advantages

The saw combines a compact footprint with a powerful motor and carbide-tipped blade for clean, precise cuts. A sliding mechanism increases cutting capacity for wider boards, while the turntable and easy-to-read scales enable repeatable, accurate angle settings. Built-in features such as the cutting-line laser, workpiece supports and clamping device improve setup speed and stability. Dust extraction via the 36 mm connection or the included dust bag reduces cleanup.

How to use

Position the saw on a stable, level workbench and connect to a suitable 220–240 V supply. Secure the workpiece using the integrated clamp and set the desired angle on the turntable, using the angle scale and locking positions for repeatable settings. For wider boards, use the smooth sliding function to move the saw head. Align the cutting-line laser with the cut line, start the saw and make steady, even feed movements until the cut is complete. Switch off power before changing the blade; use the spindle lock to hold the blade in place when replacing the carbide-tipped blade. Connect a shop vacuum to the 36 mm extractor connection or fit the supplied dust bag to collect sawdust.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety goggles, hearing protection and dust mask) and ensure the work area is well lit. For best results with hardwood, select the correct blade and feed the material at a steady rate. Regularly clear sawdust from the table and extractor to maintain visibility and cutting accuracy.
