Mixing Palette Plastic Herlitz 8643033

The Herlitz paint palette is a lightweight plastic mixing tray in white, sized at 170 mm by 235 mm. Designed for straightforward colour mixing and temporary paint storage during sessions, the palette provides a smooth, non-porous surface that is easy to rinse and wipe clean. Its compact rectangular shape makes it suitable for table-top use, school desks, sketching boards or portable art setups where space and weight are considerations.

Advantages

The palette’s durable plastic construction resists staining and warping, allowing repeated use with water-based and many acrylic paints. The white surface helps accurately judge colour tones and mixtures. Its low weight and slim profile make it simple to carry or store with other art supplies. Cleaning is fast since dried paint can usually be soaked off or wiped away without special solvents.

Suitable for

• Students and classroom painting activities
• Hobbyists working with watercolour, gouache or acrylics
• Field sketching and plein air painting where portability matters
• Workshops and group art sessions requiring easy-to-clean palettes

Key specifications

• Material: durable plastic
• Colour: white
• Dimensions: approximately 170 mm (width) × 235 mm (depth)
• Weight: lightweight for handheld or portable use
• Pack contents: 1 piece per pack

How to use

Pour or place small amounts of paint into the palette wells or across the flat mixing area and blend colours using a brush or palette knife. Use the larger flat zones for mixing larger quantities and the edges for separating small dabs of pigment. After use, rinse the palette with water for water-based media or soak briefly to loosen dried paint before wiping clean. Store the palette flat to avoid warping and keep away from prolonged direct sunlight.

Recommendations

For best results with acrylics, avoid leaving paints to fully harden on the surface; clean soon after use. When using strong pigments, rinse promptly to minimise staining. If using solvents or heavy mediums, test compatibility on a small area before prolonged use.
