How to use

Confirm compatibility between the mounting kit and your Arctic Freezer 4U‑M cooler model and the motherboard socket before beginning installation. Power down the system, disconnect power and remove the system cover to access the CPU area. Clean the CPU heatspreader and apply an appropriate amount of thermal interface material if required. Position the backplate or base bracket as specified by the cooler instructions, place spacers where indicated, then align the cooler and secure it with the supplied screws, tightening in a cross pattern to achieve even pressure. Reconnect system power and verify fan operation and temperatures after first startup.

Recommendations

Use the original Arctic installation guide for torque recommendations and sequence. Do not overtighten fasteners; ensure even pressure and correct spacer placement. Replace any damaged or corroded parts before installing to maintain reliable thermal contact and mounting integrity.
