Network Cable ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 10m Green

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 networking cable 10m in green provides a shielded solution for high-speed wired connections. Constructed with U/FTP (STP) shielding and RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this cable is intended for stable data transmission over 10 metres in home and office environments. The Cat7 standard supports enhanced bandwidth and reduced crosstalk compared with earlier twisted-pair cables, making it suitable for applications that require consistent wired performance.

Advantages

The U/FTP (STP) shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and improves signal integrity in congested cable environments. Double-ended RJ-45 termination ensures compatibility with standard network equipment without additional adapters. A 10-metre length offers flexible placement of devices while maintaining a single continuous run for simplicity. The cable's construction provides durability for repeated plugging and routing behind furniture or inside cable ducts.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops, and servers to switches or routers
• Wired connections for smart TVs, game consoles, and media players
• Office network runs where reduced interference and reliable throughput are required
• Home office and workstations requiring stable Gigabit or higher wired networking

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Length: 10 metres
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall unshielded braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Green
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper conductors

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into the switch, router, or wall outlet. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and high-heat sources; maintain gentle curves to preserve cable performance. For installations through conduits or cable trays, ensure the cable is not subjected to excessive pulling tension. If connecting to shielded network hardware, verify that the system grounding practices are appropriate to take full advantage of the U/FTP shielding.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable run length within recommended limits for copper Ethernet and avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines. Use proper strain relief at connection points and replace the cable if connectors become loose or conductors are visibly damaged.
