Network Cable ShiverPeaks BS75511-1.5-SET5

The ShiverPeaks BS75511-1.5-SET5 is a 1.5 m Cat7 networking cable designed for high-speed data transfer and stable wired connections. Constructed with S/FTP shielding and fitted with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, this grey cable is intended to reduce electromagnetic interference and provide reliable signal transmission for home, office, and professional network environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines overall foil with individually shielded pairs to minimise crosstalk and external interference, supporting consistent throughput at higher frequencies. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance, while the Cat7 specification supports higher bandwidths suitable for modern network equipment. The 1.5 m length balances desktop and rack use without excess cable clutter.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops, and network printers to a router or switch
• Wired connections for gaming consoles and media players requiring low latency
• Office network installations and small server room patching
• High-speed internet access and large file transfers within local networks

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 1.5 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with braided shielding and individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold plating
• Color: Grey
• Designed for high-frequency network transmission and reduced interference

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into your router, switch, or modem and the other into the network port of your device. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and areas with strong electromagnetic sources to maintain optimal signal integrity. For rack or wall installations, use cable management accessories to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use this Cat7 cable for short to medium runs where high bandwidth and low interference are required. Avoid kinking or tightly wrapping the cable; maintain gentle curves and secure with Velcro straps rather than zip ties to preserve shielding and conductor integrity.
