Omnitronic 10355526 Parametric Equalizer

The Omnitronic 10355526 is a two-channel parametric equalizer designed for precise control of audio frequencies across a 20–20,000 Hz range. Housed in a compact rack-friendly enclosure measuring 483 mm wide, 150 mm deep and 89 mm high, the unit provides flexible tone shaping and corrective equalization for live sound, studio monitoring and installed audio systems. The controls allow selective boosting or cutting of centre frequencies, with adjustable bandwidth for surgical or broad tonal adjustments.

Advantages

The parametric design offers precise frequency selection and adjustable Q to target problematic resonances or to fine-tune instrument and voice timbres without affecting unrelated bands. Two independent channels make it suitable for stereo processing or for separate input/output routing. Its compact rack size saves space in consoles and equipment racks while maintaining professional signal quality. The 20–20,000 Hz range covers the full audible spectrum for versatile use across music, speech and effects.

How to use

Insert the equalizer into a signal chain at the point where you need precise tonal control, such as between a mixer and power amplifier or in an insert loop for individual channels in a studio console. Select the channel to be adjusted, choose the centre frequency to target a specific band, set the Q to narrow or widen the affected range, and apply boost or cut as required. Use subtle adjustments for corrective work and stronger settings for creative shaping. When working in stereo, match settings across both channels for balanced imaging, or apply different settings to each channel if the sources differ.

Recommendations

For corrective equalization, start with small cuts to remove problematic resonances before boosting; use a narrow Q for notching and a wider Q for broad tonal adjustments. When tuning rooms or speakers, sweep frequencies while listening at reference levels to identify trouble spots. Use the unit in a stable rack environment and avoid extreme gain settings to maintain low distortion and optimal signal-to-noise performance.
