Patch cable ACT CAT6 U/UTP stranded yellow 100 m

The ACT CAT6 U/UTP stranded patch cable in yellow, 100 m long, is designed for high-speed data transmission and organized network installations. It conforms to Cat6 performance standards and uses stranded AWG24 conductors for flexibility and easier handling during routing and installation. The cable’s bright yellow jacket improves identification and cable management in both home and office environments.

Advantages

Stranded AWG24 construction provides enhanced flexibility compared with solid-core cables, simplifying installation in patch panels, cable trays, and around tight bends. Compliance with Cat6 parameters ensures support for gigabit and near-gigabit networking applications. The 100 m reel length offers a single continuous run for medium-length installations, and the yellow colour aids visual identification and structured cabling layouts.

Suitable for

• Patch connections between devices and network equipment in offices and homes
• Short to medium-length horizontal runs within racks, under desks, or in cable ducts
• Environments that require flexible cabling for frequent reconfiguration

How to use

Measure the required run and unroll the cable from the reel. Terminate the cable ends with appropriate RJ45 connectors or patch panels following Cat6 wiring standards and the colour code of the pairs. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile force when routing; secure the cable with cable ties or clips without compressing the jacket. Test each terminated run with a suitable cable tester to verify continuity and performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep each run under the standard maximum length for horizontal cabling where applicable and separate from strong electrical sources to minimize interference. Use this stranded cable where flexibility is required—use solid-core Cat6 for permanent in-wall installations.
