Patch Cable ROLINE Cat.7 3m Grey

ROLINE Cat.7 patch cord, 3 m, grey. Shielded S/FTP twisted-pair cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, designed for networking connections between devices. The cable supports Cat.6a bandwidth up to 500 MHz (data rates up to 10 Gbit/s) and is constructed to transfer Category 7 signals up to 600 MHz, enabling data transfer rates up to 40 Gbit/s. The lead is flexible and fitted with moulded kink protection for improved durability.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding provides enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Prepared shielded twisted pair (PiMF) construction and RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with standard network ports. The moulded kink protection increases connector longevity while the flexible jacket allows routing in confined spaces. Available in a 3 m length and grey colour to match typical networking environments.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet links up to 40 Gbit/s where Cat.7 performance is required
• Server rooms, network cabinets and patch panels
• Connections between switches, routers and workstations
• Installations requiring shielded cable to reduce interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat.7 (supports Cat.6a bandwidth up to 500 MHz and Cat.7 up to 600 MHz)
• Data transfer rate: up to 40 Gbit/s (Cat.7)
• Length: 3 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 — both ends
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs / PiMF)
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into the corresponding port on a switch, router or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable without excessive bending; the cable supports narrow bends but avoid sharp kinks. Use the 3 m length to position devices as required within the same rack or across short distances.

Recommendations

For best performance, use shielded network equipment and maintain proper grounding when deploying S/FTP cables. Avoid running the cable in parallel with high-power electrical lines to minimise potential interference.
