PoE Adapter Trendnet TPE-119GI

The Trendnet TPE-119GI PoE adapter delivers Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and Power over Ethernet compatibility in a compact black enclosure. Designed to support 10/100/1000 Mbit/s data rates, the adapter follows IEEE standards for PoE including 802.3af and 802.3at, enabling both data and power delivery over standard Ethernet cabling. Status LEDs provide visual indication of PoE and power conditions, while the adapter accepts a wide input voltage range for use in varied electrical environments. The small footprint (154 mm × 73 mm × 36 mm) and two RJ-45 ports simplify integration into small networking setups and point-to-point connections.

Advantages

The adapter supports full Gigabit speeds and both 802.3af and 802.3at PoE standards, providing compatibility with a broad range of powered devices. Its compact form factor and lightweight design make it easy to place in constrained spaces or attach near network endpoints. Built-in LED indicators offer quick visual confirmation of power and PoE status. Wide input voltage compatibility allows stable operation across different mains supplies while keeping power consumption low.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Supplying power and network connectivity to PoE-enabled IP cameras
• Connecting and powering wireless access points where inline PoE injection is needed
• Powering VoIP phones and networked sensors without separate power adapters
• Small office or home installs that require compact PoE injection near endpoints

Key specifications

• Network speed: 10/100/1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• PoE standards: IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at compatibility
• Ports: 2 x RJ-45 Ethernet ports
• Input voltage: 100–240 V AC
• Maximum power consumption: 3 W
• Colour: Black
• Dimensions: 154 mm × 73 mm × 36 mm
• Weight: 0.422 kg
• Status indicators: Power and PoE LEDs

How to use

Install the adapter near an AC mains outlet and connect the incoming network cable from a switch or router to the adapters upstream RJ-45 port. Plug the downstream RJ-45 port into the PoE-capable device using standard Ethernet cabling. Ensure the mains input is within the 100–240 V range before powering the unit. Observe the LED indicators to confirm power and PoE delivery; if LEDs do not illuminate, verify cabling and mains power. For safe operation, place the adapter on a stable, ventilated surface and avoid exposing it to water or excessive heat.

Recommendations

Use quality Cat5e or Cat6 cabling to maintain Gigabit performance and reliable PoE delivery. Verify device power requirements against the PoE standard supported by the adapter (802.3af or 802.3at) to ensure sufficient power. For deployments in exposed or high-moisture environments, install the adapter within an appropriate enclosure and follow local electrical safety regulations.
