Power supply unit MEAN WELL HDR-60-5

The MEAN WELL HDR-60-5 is an ultra-slim DIN-rail AC-DC power supply delivering 5 VDC at up to 6.5 A (60 W total). It accepts a wide input range of 85–264 VAC, fits compactly in control panels with dimensions 52.5 mm × 54.5 mm × 90 mm, and complies with RoHS. Designed for reliable low-voltage power distribution, it implements protective and regulatory features typical of MEAN WELL industrial adapters.

Advantages

The HDR-60-5 combines a wide AC input range with a stable 5 V output and 6.5 A maximum current in an ultra-slim DIN-rail form factor, saving panel space. Its 60 W rating supports a variety of low-voltage devices while RoHS compliance addresses environmental restrictions. The compact dimensions and DIN-rail mounting simplify installation in electrical cabinets and automation racks.

Suitable for

• Industrial control panels and automation equipment
• Embedded systems and single-board computers requiring 5 V supply
• Powering sensors, relays, and low-voltage peripherals
• Environments where DIN-rail mounting and space-saving design are needed

How to use

Mount the HDR-60-5 on a standard DIN rail inside an electrical enclosure. Connect the AC input to a suitable 85–264 VAC source following local wiring codes and secure the DC output wiring to the 5 V load, observing polarity. Ensure proper ventilation and avoid mounting where ambient temperature or clearance requirements are exceeded. Use appropriate overcurrent protection on the input side as required by your installation standards.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, install the power supply in a dry, ventilated cabinet, keep the ambient temperature within the manufacturer's specified range, and provide correct fusing or circuit protection on the AC input. Verify load current does not exceed 6.5 A and distribute loads to prevent overheating.
