PROCAB CAB901 5m XLR Plug to Socket Audio Cable Black

The PROCAB CAB901 is a balanced audio cable, 5 m long, terminated with a 3-pin XLR male connector (VC3MX) and a 3-pin XLR female connector (VC3FX). It uses 24 AWG (0.23 mm²) thin, densely stranded bare copper conductors and a high-coverage bare copper spiral shield to protect signal integrity. The cable has a flexible black PVC jacket for ease of handling and is intended for professional audio applications requiring low interference and reliable transmission.

Advantages

The combination of thin, dense stranded 24 AWG copper conductors and a high-coverage spiral copper shield provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference from dimmers, motors and nearby power cables. The balanced XLR male-to-female configuration supports professional audio signal transfer, while the flexible PVC jacket improves handling and routing in live or studio environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting microphones to mixers or preamps
• Stage and live sound setups
• Studio recording signal runs
• Patch or link connections between audio devices using XLR

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Connector 1: XLR 3-pin male (VC3MX)
• Connector 2: XLR 3-pin female (VC3FX)
• Conductor size: 24 AWG (0.23 mm²), thin & dense stranded bare copper
• Shielding: High-coverage bare copper spiral shield
• Jacket material: Flexible black PVC

How to use

Connect the XLR male end of the PROCAB CAB901 to the microphone or source output and the XLR female end to the mixer, preamp or destination input. Route the cable away from heavy power cables and rotating machinery when possible to minimize electromagnetic interference. For multiple runs, avoid bundling microphone cables with AC power cables to maintain signal quality.

Recommendations

For best results in live and studio environments, inspect connectors before use, secure cables to prevent strain on connectors, and store the cable coiled without sharp bends. Replace the cable if shielding or conductor integrity is compromised.
