Raynox HD-6600PRO-43 Wide-Angle Lens

The Raynox HD-6600PRO-43 is a high‑resolution wide conversion lens made for HD camcorders and high‑definition digital cameras. Its 3-element/3-group optical design uses high‑index glass and full multi‑coating to deliver a centre resolution of 350 line/mm (MTF30%) while minimising geometric distortion (Distortion Free −1.3%). The compact, 76 mm black housing attaches to compatible camera lenses without reducing light value, providing a wider field of view for shooting in tight spaces. Original Raynox adapters are recommended to maintain the optimum corner-to-corner image quality shown in manufacturer examples.

Advantages

The conversion lens combines a distortion‑reduced optical formula with high centre resolution, producing sharp images suitable for HD video. Its fully coated hi‑index glass construction improves contrast and reduces reflections. The lens is lightweight and compact, easy to mount on camcorders, and does not decrease the effective exposure when attached.

Suitable for

• Shooting in confined interiors where a wider field of view is required
• HD camcorder videography (compatible with models such as SONY VX‑2000, PD‑150, DSR‑250, Canon GL‑1/2, XM‑1/2)
• Professional and advanced amateur production work requiring low distortion wide shots

How to use

Attach the HD‑6600PRO‑43 to the front thread or adapter of a compatible camcorder lens (use the original Raynox adapter for best optical fit). Ensure the threads are clean and screw the conversion lens on securely but without over‑tightening. Compose and focus with the camera as usual; no additional exposure compensation is required since the lens does not reduce light value. Remove the conversion lens by unscrewing it when a normal field of view is needed.

Recommendations

For optimal corner-to-corner image quality, use the original Raynox adapter designed for the HD‑6600PRO. Adapters from other manufacturers may slightly degrade image quality, particularly at the frame edges.
