Reflecta 66145 Digital Microscope

The Reflecta 66145 digital microscope (DigiMicroscope Vario) offers variable magnification from 100x to 600x via a rotatable lens turret. It provides reflected and transmitted illumination for inspecting specimens and surfaces, and connects to a PC, tablet or smartphone for live viewing. The built-in camera captures images at 1600 x 1200 pixels and records AVI videos; still images are saved in JPEG format. Compact and lightweight, the device is suitable for detailed observation in study, laboratory, school, work or hobby settings.

Advantages

The microscope supports both reflected and transmitted light, enabling versatile inspection of opaque and transparent samples. A rotatable lens turret allows quick switching between magnifications from 100x to 600x. The integrated camera (1600 x 1200 px) records photos in JPEG and videos in AVI, and the device is compatible with Windows 10 and several Mac OS X versions. Its compact dimensions and 0.372 kg weight make it easy to position and store.

Suitable for

• Biology and materials observation in school and study environments
• Research and laboratory examinations of small objects and surfaces
• Hobbyist microscopy, electronics inspection and surface analysis
• Documenting specimens and processes with photos and time-lapse capture

How to use

Connect the microscope to a PC, tablet or smartphone using the provided cable and install any required drivers or software compatible with your operating system. Place the specimen on the stage and select reflected or transmitted light depending on the sample type. Rotate the lens turret to choose the desired magnification between 100x and 600x. Use the software interface to view the live image, capture individual JPEG photos, record AVI video or set programmable intervals for time-lapse photography.

Recommendations

For best results, start at the lowest magnification to locate the area of interest, then increase magnification for detail. Use transmitted light for thin or transparent samples and reflected light for opaque surfaces. Store the microscope in a dry, dust-free place and handle the optics carefully to avoid fingerprints on lenses.
