Renkforce RF-2871000 2-wire network extension set — range 500 m

The Renkforce Network extension 2-wire set RF-2871000 provides a wired solution to extend network connectivity over existing two-wire lines up to a stated range of 500 m. The set is intended for situations where running new Ethernet cabling is difficult or costly and where devices need reliable connectivity over longer distances using available two-conductor wiring. It supports point-to-point link extension and keeps data transmission over a simple physical medium while maintaining stable connection quality for remote equipment.

Advantages

The 2-wire set enables network extension without full re-cabling, reducing installation disruption and material costs. It is designed for straightforward integration with existing infrastructure and offers a predictable maximum range of 500 m when used on suitable two-conductor lines. The wired approach ensures lower latency and more consistent throughput compared with many wireless alternatives in environments with signal interference or limited wireless coverage.

Suitable for

• Extending Ethernet-like connectivity to remote devices over existing two-conductor building wiring
• Linking surveillance cameras, access control units, and networked sensors located beyond standard Ethernet cable limits
• Temporary or permanent installations where routing new CAT cable is impractical

Key specifications

• Transmission medium: two-conductor copper wiring
• Maximum stated range: 500 m (one-way link, dependent on cable quality and environment)
• Connection type: wired point-to-point extension over existing two-wire lines
• Intended use: extending network connectivity for remote devices without new Ethernet cabling
• Typical network role: device-to-device link extension for IP devices

How to use

Install the Renkforce 2-wire units at each end of the two-conductor line that will carry the network signal. Connect the network port of the transmitting unit to the source device or switch and the receiving unit to the destination device. Ensure the two-wire cable is continuous and that connections are secure and free of corrosion. Power the units according to the supplied power specifications and verify link status using the device indicators. Test connectivity and throughput after installation to confirm stable operation over the intended distance.

Recommendations

Use high-quality, continuous two-conductor copper wiring and avoid long splices or damaged sections to achieve the stated 500 m range; confirm performance in the actual installation environment and keep device firmware and power connections reliable for stable operation.
