Renkforce SPE-178WT Ceiling Speaker, 8 Ω, 20 W, White

Renkforce SPE-178WT is a ceiling speaker designed for in-ceiling installation where discreet, flush-mounted audio is required. With a nominal impedance of 8 Ω and a power rating of 20 W, this white speaker provides clear background sound suitable for homes, offices and commercial environments. The compact circular grille and shallow mounting depth allow integration into standard ceiling constructions while maintaining a low visual profile.

Advantages

The speaker offers a balanced sound signature for background music and spoken word, combined with easy in-ceiling mounting and a white finish that matches most ceilings. Its 8 Ω impedance and 20 W power handling make it compatible with common household and small commercial amplifiers. The unit's design minimizes protrusion from the ceiling surface, providing an unobtrusive audio solution for ambient sound or public address applications.

Suitable for

• Background music in living rooms, kitchens and hallways
• Office and meeting room ambient audio
• Retail spaces and small commercial establishments
• Public address and paging in small to medium-sized areas

Key specifications

• Nominal impedance: 8 Ω
• Power rating: 20 W (nominal)
• Form factor: in-ceiling, flush-mounted speaker
• Finish: white grille and bezel
• Intended use: background music and speech reproduction

How to use

Locate a suitable mounting position in the ceiling clear of joists, ducts and wiring. Cut an opening sized to the speaker dimensions, following any template supplied with the product. Connect the speaker to an amplifier or audio source with matching impedance and appropriate power output, ensuring correct polarity on the speaker terminals. Insert the speaker into the ceiling opening and secure it according to the mounting clamps or fasteners provided. Adjust playback levels from the connected amplifier or source to avoid clipping and ensure even coverage across the intended area.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, pair the speaker with an amplifier that can deliver clean power within the speaker's rated range and observe the 8 Ω impedance to avoid mismatching. Position speakers to provide even coverage and avoid placing them too close to HVAC vents or direct airflow. For improved speech intelligibility in public address use, test placement and volume settings before regular operation.
