Rittal DK 7000.630 Power Distribution Unit

The Rittal DK 7000.630 is an 8-way power distribution unit with earthing-pin sockets designed for use in electrical enclosures and 482.6 mm (19") racks. It features a 2 m connection cable, angled sockets positioned at 45° to allow use of angular plugs, and external earthing terminals. The unit is suitable for mounting vertically on the enclosure frame or in the rear 19" section, where it requires more than 2U of rack space.

Advantages

The DK 7000.630 provides eight 230 V AC outlets with a maximum current rating of 16 A, offering compact and orderly power distribution for rack-mounted equipment. Angled sockets improve accessibility for devices with right-angle plugs, while the separate terminal slot with cover and external earthing terminals simplifies safe cable connection and grounding. Supplied mounting screws, serrated washers and conductive captive M6 nuts facilitate secure installation.

Suitable for

• Rack-mounted servers and network equipment in 19" enclosures
• Electrical cabinets and control panels requiring multiple AC outlets
• IT closets and telecommunication racks where space-saving angled sockets are beneficial

How to use

Mount the unit either vertically on the enclosure frame or in the rear 19" section of the rack, ensuring more than 2U of free space when installing in the rack. Route the connection cable and terminate it in the terminal slot provided on the strip; close the terminal slot cover after wiring. Use the external earthing terminals to connect protective earth. Plug equipment into the 45° angled sockets, taking care not to exceed the 16 A rating per outlet and observing standard electrical safety procedures during installation and operation.

Recommendations

Do not exceed the rated current of 16 A per outlet and distribute loads to avoid overloading a single outlet or circuit. Ensure the unit is properly earthed via the external earthing terminals and that installation is performed by qualified personnel following local electrical codes.
