RJ45 Connector Helos 014166

The Helos 014166 RJ45 wire connector is a transparent plastic RJ45 plug supplied in a pack of 100 pieces, created for making reliable network terminations for Ethernet cables. Its clear housing allows visual inspection of conductor placement and insulation displacement contacts, while the compact modular form factor conforms to standard RJ45 cabling used in LAN installations. The product is intended for use with stranded and solid copper twisted-pair cables where a standard RJ45 termination is required.

Advantages

The transparent housing permits easy verification of conductor order and correct seating before crimping. Being provided in a set of 100 pieces reduces frequent reordering for small to medium installation tasks. The plastic construction offers electrical insulation and protects the contacts; the modular RJ45 shape ensures compatibility with common RJ45 jacks and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Termination of Cat5e and Cat6 twisted-pair Ethernet cables for LAN and office networks
• Home networking and small business cabling projects
• Patch panel and wall outlet cable assemblies
• Prototyping, testing, and temporary network setups

Key specifications

• Connector type: 8P8C (RJ45) modular plug
• Material: transparent plastic housing
• Pack quantity: 100 pieces per pack
• Compatibility: standard 8-conductor twisted-pair Ethernet cables (stranded and solid)
• Use: insulation displacement contact (IDC) style termination intended for crimp tools

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer jacket to expose the twisted pairs, arrange the conductors according to the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B), and straighten the wires before inserting them fully into the RJ45 connector so each conductor reaches its corresponding contact. Use an appropriate RJ45 crimping tool to secure the connector and ensure the strain relief engages the cable jacket. After crimping, visually inspect the connector through the transparent housing to confirm correct conductor alignment and to verify the contact crimps.

Recommendations

Use a compatible crimping tool sized for RJ45 plugs and avoid excessive cable jacket removal to maintain strain relief. For best performance in network installations, test each terminated cable with a cable tester to confirm continuity and pairing, and select the appropriate cable category (Cat5e/Cat6) depending on your required data rates and environment.
